So I recently was rejected by the University of Pittsburgh, and I have been wondering if there was any way for my application to be reconsidered. I really want to get into their main campus but they moved my application to a branch campus. Is there anything that I can do like change my major or school?
A rejection is a rejection through and through.
Usually the only reason they would reconsider is if you have some amazing new information to give them that would completely change their outlook on you somehow or if you have circumstances to show a different side of your application or something. You can contact their Office of Admissions but don’t get your hopes up too high.
An old thread indicated there is an appeal process and they appealed and got a spot. See

Can you attend the branch campus, do spectularly, and then transfer to the main campus?
Never list a branch campus when applying to Pitt, they’ll try to put you there first if you are not extremely qualified.
It’s possible to attend the branch campus and then transfer to main campus, but I only want to attend main. And I don’t live in Pittsburgh, so if i’m going to pay extra money for room & board, I want it to be main campus.
And I only listed the main campus on my application.
But if this is what it’s going to be, then it is. I still have other options like Penn State University Park, so it’s too bad. I just prefer to be in the city rather than in a small town.
Thanks everybody for replying!
If you want a city, what about Temple?
Or, if you like the city and are okay with a smaller school, you have chatham (women only), Duquesne…
