<p>I have already signed for housing, I thought everyone has. I know NYC intern summer housing goes quick. We don't know the specific dates of employment but we do know we have to be in NYC the last week of May for orientation and training. And you also know you want to extend your summer till the second week of Aug. for interviews. Last week in May to second week in Ang is for what you should be looking for, jkim0987!</p>

Depending on our performance, firms will extend a full-time offer after the summer internship is completed, no? Do you mean interviews in case we want to go somewhere else...? Or because we are SEO, the process is different for us?</p>

<p>The interviews are the ones for SEO interns in the case you want to go somewhere else.</p>

<p>I don't know offically, but I would assume it's not automatic. I would imagine there is an application and then the same level of interviews Bank Y will have for all their other FT applicants later that fall. </p>
<p>I wouldn't worry about not getting the CD yet. I figure SEO probably has their hands full right now. I would give it at least two weeks. Everyone's training dates seem to be different anyway.</p>
<p>Is anyone else aware of the fact that they used to let you list your preferences? An alum from intern class of either 2005 or 2006 told me this.. I know they didn't have it in 2007.</p>
<p>Also, From what I recall from my conversation with an SEO staff member, the interviews aren't automatically granted.</p>
<p>From what I gathered, it didn't seem like it is too difficult to get an interview. However, it is up to you to connect with the firms during the networking events throughout the summer. You get their contact info, keep in touch, and basically ask them if you can interview with them at the end of summer. (I could be wrong, but that is what I remember).</p>
<p>The SEO Superday happens much before campus recruiting, so we definitely have an advantage over regular applicants.</p>
<p>Despite the annoyance with firm placements though, every SEO alum I've talked to have told me that you have to be crazy to pass it up :)</p>

im in nj, but i dont think that matters. have you received yours yet? i dont know, maybe they send the cd after your pre-placement courses deadline. mine came a week or so after my deadline..</p>

<p>When I asked SEO about firm housing stipends and weekly wages, they said that all monetary compensation comes directly from the firm. So I'm guessing if the firm offers singing bonuses, that'll apply to us too.</p>
