I'm taking it for the third time. I got a 29 my second time, so I'm really hoping for 30+. even a 30 would be awesome, even though it's one point. it just seems like one huge step.

what is the max amount of times one can take the ACT?

Infinite .

im taking it for my 1st time

I'm debating whether to retake, the deadline is tomorrow (unless you want to pay the late fee).

I'm totally retaking it... I want a 35+, but we'll see what happens.

im taking it in hopes of getting a good grade, and If I dont I guess im doomed to face the SAT 7 months later o_o

Not available here. :-/

Not driving to NY.

yea i just signed up
hoping for

36M
30E
30R
29S

I am taking it for the first time.

Same I am hoping for 36 math 32 Reading 30 writing 34 science (minimum hopefully) 33 composite

Yeah. Im taking it too. Im hoping for over 32. I need a really good score. ANyone going to do anything for prep? Please tlel me

Taking it

for the fourth time.

:-</p>

24 is the highest I've achieved.

Kinda sad.

I'm (realistically) hoping for a 29 but dreaming about beating 30. I was going to take it on the sept date, but I discovered I had a horse show that day, and obviously I'd rather do that instead, so i'm putting it off till december :D

I'm taking it! I signed up last minute (and quite spur-of-the-moment, too) today, and I'm curious to see how I'll do in comparison to the SAT. I figure it's a situation I can't lose in...I do well, great. I do poorly, I don't send my scores in. :) Hoping for at least a 28.

...unfortunately, that means I have to drag myself out of bed extra-early starting tomorrow in order to start studying up on the test and its format.

I signed up for the test about ten seconds before the regular dealine ended. :)

Anyway. . . it's my first time, and I'd REALLY like to do well so I don't have to take the SAT again. 34 and up would make me pleased.

would make anyone in the world pleased....a 34 would!

A few thoughts: After taking a few practice tests, I realized that without a strategy it's very hard to do well on the Reading and Science part.

This is just my opinion, but I think that English and Math are much easier than Science or Reading.

If anyone here has a strategy he/she use for Science and Reading part, I would be happy to hear it.

im takin it hopefully raise my 24 up ;o

I'd be happy to hear a strategy too, I found out about the ACT only a week before registering for it and im doing it just for a crapshoot at seeing if I get a good score. I bought "ACT For Idiots" and read a little bit so far in it
