Just like the SAT forum, i would like to know who is retiring from the ACT on June 14 or would like to retire??!!

I would like to hit the ACT like i can't miss LOL!! >30 please
HOW ABOUT YOU??

My first time! Hoping to get a 32 or better. fingers crossed

How are the rest of you preparing?

After the June 7th SAT, I will only have a week to prepare for the ACT. I'll take a practice test EVERYDAY no doubt, probably two in one day if necessary. I'll go to my bookstore to read a lot of prep books and learn all the math concepts(I don't know too much about logs and matrices). Still, the most important thing this week that I'll have to learn is timing myself well.

I'm hoping for a 31. A 30 would be great as well. I can't miss more than like 5 questions on each section. I will probably wake up very early on test day to do some practice questions to get myself warmed up.

Of the 5 or so practice tests I've taken so far, I've never encountered any problems involving matrices. And only about 1-3 log problems per practice test. So I wouldn't worry about them too much.

I have a week after SAT to prepare and I NEED a 32 or better.

June 14 will be my last time to ever take it. I had a dream that I got a 34 and I really hope it comes true. I'd really even be happy if I raised my score 1 point. This test really doesn't matter, I'm just taking it for fun and to try to prove to myself that I can do better.

Hopefully my last time.
Aiming for 34+.

My first (and hopefully last!) time. I'm aiming for 32-33.

33 is the magic number. I think I can do it. If so, I'm done with the ACT for good. woot woot

got 33 on april one, but did a bunch of practice tests and not seeing my score increasing...so iono

Just wondering, but does the June test tend to have a better curve?

Let's hope so, leftwichqb7! I think June is where a bunch of experimental questions usually show up...

Hopefully it's the experimental questions that I get wrong, not the ones that actually count!

so how do they grade experimental questions?

I might take it again on standby. I could have done better on the math, and I really want to get a 36.

I'm taking it! It will also be my last time and I'm really hoping for a 36...got a 34 last June :)

so how do they grade experimental questions?

I'd like to know this too. I've heard that they don't count for your final score, but wouldn't that be hurting us because there would be less problems that count, therefore it would be harder to get a higher score?

will we be able to tell which one is experimental? i heard that there's just an extra section at the end

there was a question on matrices on the february test...

i'm retaking and aiming for a 35+ after a 33 on the feb test. Since my lowest score on the feb test was a 30 (math), and i've been studying for the mathII subject test for the last several weeks, i should be able to bump it up...

Are you saying that on the Feb test, the question on matrices was experimental?

And how do you know if it was experimental? Does ACT tell us?
