how did you get the answer for the ferris wheel problem

i think it was 12 + 40-40 * cos(Alpha)

12 because of the step up to the ride
40 to the center of the ride, and the 40 * cos alpha was the only function that seemed to find how high the person was relative to the center of ferris wheel

center of the wheel
|
|x \ z (40) (z is the hypotenuse x is leg on the left side of Z)
|__
y

x related to height and we knew the value of Z so we need x as a function of Z and cosine deals with the “adjacent” leg to the angle which means we would be dealing with cosine

at least that was my reasoning, did i get that one right?

*edit drew a picture
*edit edit, fixed-ish picture

what was the logic one, was it like if the figurine was NOT a cat then it is NOT blue?

nitro was the answer to the ferris wheel one K?

and yea thats wat i put for the logic one…the last answer choice rite?

what about the question about throwing a ball or something? t was the number of seconds in the air or something and there was a 32 in the equation and you had to say what the 32 meant.

what was that answer?

I missed that FRIGGEN LOGIC QUESTION! i forgot what the answer was but that might be it. i was rushing and GRR

i dont think it was K, i think it was J at least on mine, but im not 100% sure and we might have had different answer forms if that makes a difference

32= it was at a height of 32 when it left the hand

the throwing the ball was the height that the ball was thrown from, if youve taken mechanical physics that problem was jokes, that one seemed kind of unfair though, kind of a prior knowledge question

I figured that one out through POE. The other ones so wrong from just looking at my graphing calculator.

what about the one with the angle that was inscribed in the circle? i think i got 40 degrees but the terminology really screwed with me.

it was the one with the angle that you had to solve for and it gave the arc lengths of the parts of the circle that wernt between the angle, (i think the lenghts were 190 and 90?)

haha or coulda plugged in 0 for the time and u would get 32.

yea 40 is correct. just do 80/2

noice, i might have pulled a 36 barring a stupid algerbra mistake on an easy question, which has been known to happen

what about the unreal numbers one? i didnt really get that one because none of the answers had an A term so it just messed with my head.

i think i put -3i because if its sqrt(0^2+(-3)^2) then i think that one was the biggest

me too cus (-3)^2=9 and that was the highest quare

how do you do the 10 cabins one? i was so confused i started drawing pictures of cabins

cabins tests ur knowledge of triangular numbers. all u do is ((9^2)+9)/2=45

or 9+8+7+6+5+4+3+2+1, thats how i did it, i mean its the number of cabins - 1 + the number of cabins - 2 +…+ 1

but yea either way you get the same answer i guess
