<p>does anyone remember the wording of the problem involving the a+bi and the sqrt(a^2+b^2) ? If so, can you explain the solution? </p>

<p>so…what was the answer to the trapezoid problem?</p>
<p>Parallel lines allow you to draw congruent triangles of width 1.5 along the trapezoidal height.</p>
<p>Add the new length in both directions to the previous base’s measure to get 13</p>
<p>for the imaginary numbers one, you had to plug the answers into the absolute value formula and realize that none of them had an ‘A’ term.</p>
<p>sqrt(0^2 + (-3)^2) would yeild 3, which was the biggest answer if plugged into the formula.</p>

<p>The one where it asked you to find the length of the segment connecting the midpoints of the two sides? You just do 1/2(base 1 + base 2). I think the two bases were 7 and 19, so the answer is 13.</p>

<p>The Math test was hard. At the last part, it was mostly covered by word problems and Trig. For some reason, they upgrade the test every year. I thought it could be easy, but it wasn’t. =(</p>
