September ACT Math Discussion

why am i remembering the -3i problem iwth it being under a radical? i know i put that answer choice but i remember a radical being tehre…does anyone remember if it was like the last choice or something?

alsoooo for the graph question with teh kids with b averages and speeding…i remember the first and third graph both were good answers…but one was better. i guess the first one? can someone explian why

Wow…for the floor/triangles one, I think I remember getting 30. Anyone agree??
Because it was 24 triangles, in a 12 ft width. each triangle was 4x7.5x8.5, so you could arrange 6 triangles in each row, so 7.5x4 = 30.

also what was the answer to the gasonline one with the…used half and then used 1.25? or something? what was the question and the answer to that one

Gasoline answers was 4.25, yes the floor one was 4 wide or 4x7.5=30

does anyoen remember the gasonline question??

can someone explain what the triangle tile question was? and the answer? bc i don’t remember it.

It was a paint measured in gallons. used 1/2 & 1 1/4, out of 6. so 4 1/4 was left.

Was 24 an answer choice in the triangle problem? i might have misread it and put 24, but i dont know, maybe i put 30

answer for triangle was 30 4 triangles wide at 7.5 units per

i dont get it…if it was out of 6…used half would mean three. so already how is the answer 4.25 was left? i think i put 1.25 i’m confused…

yea its 4.25
idr the questino but i remember the asnwer lol

No, area of trapezoid = 1/2 * h (base 1 + base 2).

This question asked you to find the length of the segment that connects the midpoints of two of a trapezoid’s sides.

why am i remembering the -3i problem iwth it being under a radical? i know i put that answer choice but i remember a radical being tehre…does anyone remember if it was like the last choice or something?

alsoooo for the graph question with teh kids with b averages and speeding…i remember the first and third graph both were good answers…but one was better. i guess the first one? can someone explian why

wait…there was a question about kids painting? Remind me exactly what the question asked…

Bahaha I drew out the cabin problem. The person next to me thought I was a freak. I got it right though!

daman11 - It was the one where the kids had 6 gallons of paint to start with and used up some amount of it one day 1. Answer asked how much they had left. I think it was 4.75 or something like that.

It was 4.25, methinks.

Ja, that was it 4 1/4

jesus. the math section was hard!

i dont think he cares…
