I am freaking out because Berkeley said my TOEFL scores was missing today. I scored 297, which I think will really make up for my 530 in verbal. Today, though, they gave me 2 options for me:
<li>To send my TOEFL scores in through fax for re-review prior to 31 March. </li>
<li>Appeal (if rejected) and send TOEFL scores (along with other new credentials) at this time. I may not send my TOEFL scores via appeal if I already did for re-review. </li>
Which one should i pick? I don’t know if I stand a great chance now that most of the decisions have been made. Would it make a difference if I sent it now since they could not guarantee that my application will be reviewed again? Then again, if appealing, how much of a chance do I stand? I feel that my essay for this application was not strong enough and i can replace that with a stronger one - which i made for other schools. I could also send my teacher recs in the appeal. But how feasible is it? I desperately need your help guys… thanks…
<p>You still have time! Just fax your TOEFL information by March 31 and if you're here in the U.S., you still have 2 days to go.</p>
<p>"I don't know if I stand a great chance now that most of the decisions have been made." Yes, of course you don't know because you haven't tried. That UCB contacted you and offered you options speaks volumes. Jump on the gun and do the first option. How do you know that your application is one of the decisions that has already been made? They still have 2 days to decide. Besides, yours is probably red-flagged or tabbed or marked somehow that something is missing from your application. Admissions officers should understand that.</p>
<p>So fax that TOEFL score ASAP! :) Good luck.</p>
<p>I cannot appeal again with anything else if i send my TOEFL scores now for re-review!!! I mean the only thing that's left would be the teacher recs.</p>
