urgent help required, please!

<p>I just got notified that I have to send TOEFL or MELAB results even though I'm a US Citizen living abroad in a english speaking school. I've taken the SAT I and have gotten 2010 including 600 in critical reading. </p>

<p>Is it possible that I can talk to them and convince them to drop the requirement? And if the next TOEFL test date is dec 12th, will this delay my EA response? Also, this doesn't necessarily mean I'm deferred right?</p>

<p>NOTE: It appeared under the result of my application materials on WA as send TOEFL scores and status- notified</p>

<p>I have friends that have had schools ask for TOEFL scores even though english is their native language, I would contact them and make sure. You never know.</p>

<p>make sure of what? Did your friends end up sending their results?</p>

<p>No, they didn’t end up having to take it once they explained that english was their native language. I meant to make sure that, given your circumstances, they really need the score. It is possible they have misunderstood your situation.</p>

<p>hey! i’m in the same boat. if u actually go on the website and go to the knowledgebase thing and type in TOEFL exemption, it acually tells you to send in a letter in writing explaining why you want/should get a TOEFL exemption. i did it. u should probably do it like right now…</p>

<p>yeah I had done that before and they waived the requirement. Thanks anyway. Btw jestergirl, I saw on the decisions thread that you got in. Congrats! I think i sent my app around the same time as you did. When did you have to send the TOEFL exempt request? When do you think I’ll recieve a decision?</p>

<p>hey! thank you!! i sent my TOEFL exempt request like a few days afterwards. mayb the 4th or 5th?? i was kinda scared as to what they were gonna say because even if they asked for one… because i never took one :stuck_out_tongue: haha and about the decisions… i’m not sure. my friend who applied 2 weeks before me got in 2 weeks ago. the rest of my friends turned it in at the same time i did (nov 1st) but none of them got their decisions today! so yea. i think it’s pretty random…</p>
