Serious Problem!! PLEASE HELP

I am an international student. My application to Cornell University is Complete but my financial aid application hasn't even begun. I KNOW, I KNOW, THAT IS COMPLETE CARELESSNESS...

Around mid-January I asked Cornell University's Financial department if they can accept ISFAA in case of my inability to file CSS profile. I also informed that I can fill the CSS profile if a waiver code is given to me.

After sending seven emails to financial aid department, I haven't heard anything from them. Now, Since my financial aid app is incomplete, and I need astronomical sum of aid to attend Cornell, will they provide me aid if I get accepted?

If not, there is no point in accepting coz I won't be able to attend.

PS. Just for the sake of it, I emailed them a copy of ISFAA...

I would call the admissions office. They will give you the best advice.

Call the financial aid office, but don’t expect too much aid; financial aid is much more limited for international students.

I applied ED and got in without applying for aid then they asked me if I wanted it in like January and I signed up for it and got a decent amount so you can still apply after acceptance from what I gathered.

One of my friends applied for financial aid at Cornell last year, and he ended up getting $50 total.
He’s classified as a “lower-middle class” student, and he barely got aid since he applied as a international.
Cornell’s stingy with their financial aid to begin, so if you’re an international student, you’re at the worse end of the stick.

^^Really, $50? Total. Must have another couple zeros in there, yes?

^^ Nope, $50 total. Yes, I’m being serious.
His parents got ****ed off since the application for FA took nearly 4 days to complete.

^well that would last him 5 meals.

Gracetone - your story doesn’t make sense.
Cornell isn’t “stingy” with aid - their policies are fairly well defined on their website. Aid to International students is very limited and that is clearly noted.
It would cost Cornell too much to give a $50 aid package to a student - your story smacks of sour grapes.

Yeah. Cornell isn’t ‘stingy’. I am an international student who applied ED and Cornell was very generous.
