On my New York University supplement essay, I was asked to talk about my campus of interest. I wrote about their college of arts and sciences, but because I had a tab open for the Weinberg College of Arts and Sciences while doing research for Northwestern at the same time, I mindlessly typed in Weinberg on my supplement and completely looked past my mistake. I never caught that error and I had already submitted my essay by the time I realized my mistake. I know that it's REALLY bad error, but I don't want this mistake to completely wipe out my chances of getting into New York University because it's one of my top choices. Can someone please help? What should I do?

Wow. That’s actually… yeah… my best bet would be calling them or e-mailing them ASAP explaining this?

Actually, if they asked about “campus of interest” I think they are referring to NY, Shanghai, Abu Dhabi, etc. that is different from “college of interest” which would be Stern, Tisch, Gallatin, etc. I think this throws a lot of applicants. You might want to email your regional admissions rep and see if you can send a supplemental response.

Lightingmom is right, they want to know why u want to attend the campus, not the college. I applied first choice to NYUAD, second NYC. So I talked about what attracted me to the abu dhabi campus and why I still like the campus in washington square
