Seriously Considering Going...whats Life Like?

Ok, although I am still waiting on like 5 schools, all of them for the most part are reaches and its time to start thinking in terms of what I know I have on the table. For some reason, Michgian does not appeal to me too much although I know its a great school. Bentley business is good but it keeps me locked in, and Stonehill has so so academic reviews although I think its on the up and up, plus its much smaller than most schools I applied to,it was a safety. Wisconsin-Madison still possible, no $ though, so for any of you who are IU studnents OR know alot about student life, I know its a huge campus with a huge undergrad student body which appeals to me, it supposedbly is quite diverse with kids from all over? What are weekends like, how are the study libraries, I heard the campus is outrageously beautiful, is that true? How are the dorms? Friendliness of people? Being from NY, I know it would be a huge change, but if its a fun social atmosphere and the acadmics are there I am willing to give it a go or at least seroiusly consider this, anything you can share would be most helpful. I am tired of this whole process already and want to move forward UNLESS I get some surprises in my mailbox in the next few days, this is looking very possible!

I know I answered you about IU on another thread, but I'll give you a little more info.
IU has an active social scene. There are parties all the time- you can go, or not, as you choose. The campus IS beautiful, and all of the facilities are great. There are a number of libraries and they are wonderful. You can study in couches, chairs, at tables- whatever you want. There are musical performances ALL the time, since the music school is one of the top ones in the country, if not THE top. There is an active Greek scene, but plenty of kids do NOT "go Greek". There are a lot of kids from Indiana, of course, but the school has really caught on as a great place to go and a good option financially and academically, so there are kids from all over. Freshman year you will have some large lecture classes, but by the time you settle into your major the classes are much smaller. There are plenty of neat little restaurants for students- pizza, stromboli sandwiches etc. Lots of bars. :) Athletics are big- especially basketball- new coach on the way in. Lots of school spirit. The dorms are big and now have food courts which are pretty decent. The student union is amazing- the largest in the county. It includes a bowling alley and hotel.

Hey man, I'm in the same boat as you. Each day I am more and more persuaded to go to IUB. If you're doing business...its a great choice considering its 11th overall and 7th for finance (my major).

As well, supposedly the campus is really nice and the social life is great.

I plan to lookup some current students on facebook, get their AIM sn, and talk to them about the school. If you got accepted already, then you can register your e-mail addy for indiana.edu and signup to facebook.

Guys- send me a PM and I'll give you an email address and screenname for a current student. She would be glad to give you all the info.
