I transferred from a CC to a University after getting my AA degree, in Fall 2012. Once I transferred, I decided to change my major and had to take a different set of lower division courses. I work full time, so I had to go to school on my only 2 days off(Tue/Thur) which was successful for the first quarter(I got 2 A's and a B). The second quarter(Winter 2013) rolled around and I had to take out a fed student loan to pay for it because I had burned through the savings I had for school for the first quarter. Half-way through the quarter, my boss decided that my school schedule would no longer fit business needs and changed my schedule to only being off Sat and Sun, which would no longer fit into my school schedule. I ended up having to withdrawal from the 3 courses I was taking. I decided to go back to my CC(Spring 2013) so that I could continue my education, by taking the lower division courses I needed online and at night so that it would fit into my new schedule. I want to go back to the University beginning in the Summer, but I will need to quit my job in order to do so. I am looking for part-time work, but it is definitely easier said than done. I was wondering if there are any loans to help pay for living expenses because I do have rent, car payment, car insurance, cellphone, and other utilities. This is the main reason why I am afraid to quit my steady job, but know I need to in order to advance in my college education. Also, since I withdrew from my courses at the University while I was receiving financial aid(student loans), will I even qualify for anymore loans or financial aid? I will be planning on sending my new CC transcript back to the university once this semester is done and the grades are posted, to prove that I did not just withdrawal for the hell of it and I am actually trying to accomplish my academic career.
Any advice would help!!
Thanks
