I still haven't gotten my address, and all my friends around me haveeeeeeeeee????? Damn it.

calm down please

You're right. JUST GETTING READY TO BE A CAMERON CRAZZZZZZZYYYYYYYYYYY!!!!!!

You should have gotten, that is to say I live in Minnesota and I got mine like last Thursday, a postcard-ish type letter from Duke telling you your NetID, temporary password, and the way to get your new email.

I really like the email names being first.last@duke.edu. Its so convenient and... awesome.

Haha... glad someone's already eager to be camping out infront of Cameron. :)

Dont worry, im just as friggin anxious as you...
I have yet to get it haha.

So, if someone could be nice enough to uhm, just post up the directions on the postcard, please do so.
I'm pretty sure the rest of us who have yet to receive their emails could easily just call up Duke, get our IDs, and get everything set up.

So seriously, somebody help?

For e-mail, I would think you could call the Office of Information Technology - 919-684-2200 - and ask. Just don't tell them I sent you - I still need them to help get my lab ready for Fall :)

I called them, they basically say wait for the packet.

Alas - I thought they might be able to do a bit more... I guess it wouldn't be something that shows up on the D?

Did you go to this site already?
https://dukeid.duke.edu:8882/emailalias/owa/publicsearch

^^That site is awesome! Thanks for posting the link.

I haven't gotten the NetID post card yet either.

what's the difference between the email alias and email address. What should i put in both fields?

Your welcome sweetsasami; I think you should receive your netID soon, but if not, try typing in your email address (including numbers) and see if it works. Many people's IDs are the same as their email address.

JMan, you can change your email alias (how it shows up to your email recipients) but you cannot change your email address. Your email would remain as JMan##@duke.edu, but anyone seeing your email would see something like Josh, or John, if you decide to display your name.
