Service Academy before B-school

Would appreciate thoughts of anyone with experience as a grad of service academy, (specifically West Point or Annapolis), plus 5-yr (min) service commitment.
1. How did this impact ability to get into B-school?
2. Conversely, How did this impact your civilian job search?
3. How is degree from USMA or USNA viewed?

Any regrets about going the service academy route?

I understand that the academies are far more than just a spring board to civilian life, but it's crazy to ignore their impact. Thoughts anyone?

I didn't go to a service academy but many service academy grads end up going to top business schools. I see it as a positive, especially in regards to the leadership experience that you will gain.
