Service Academy Parents

Attn: Service Academy Parents posters,

Recently, the moderators have noticed an upsurge in the frequency of attacks on other posters in this particular forum. While we understand that many of the issues you face are contentious and potentially personally dear to you, we ask you to please remain within the limits of the Terms of Service (TOS) when you post.

This forum should ideally serve as a place for parents of students at our nation's service academies to congregate and discuss the issues they face. Understandably, many of these issues take on a political bent, and this means political discussions-- political discussions of course mean disagreement, and disagreement means the potential for rancor. However, we must stress that the TOS expressly forbids community members from engaging in personal attacks while posting here at CollegeConfidential.com. Disagreement between two human beings is natural and expected, but when it has the potential for driving away people who would otherwise stand to gain insight on the issues facing service academy parents, it is an issue for the community-at-large.

Please abide by the TOS when posting, as it benefits everyone involved-- especially the parents!

Best,
Moderator Staff

Ditto that moterator staff. Any parent of a son or daughter that applies and is accepted into any federal academy should feel blessed to be the parent of such an outstanding child. More important we all need to realise that to be accepted into any of these incredible institutions speaks volumes about these individuals and we all should be extremely proud and thankful that our society can still attrack young individuals who have the ability and desire to attend said academies. Congrats to all and God Bless. Proud parent of class 2016 usmma
