Seven Year Medical Programs

Hi everyone! I am looking to apply to some seven year medical programs within the US, but was having trouble finding out how hard it would be for me to get in to these programs. I have a weighted GPA of 4.27, and a combined SAT score of 2110. Does anyone have any suggestions as to ones that would be a good academic match for me/ does anyone have any clue how I would match up with the available programs?

I also have 5 APs:
AP English Language
Psychology
Biology
Chemistry
AB Calculus
and will be taking the math 2 subject test along with chemistry.
As for extracurriculars, I have a couple internships, some volunteer work with a hospital, two varsity letters and one year of junior varsity skiing along with horseback riding.

You have a low chance to be honest. Just by test scores alone, you don’t qualify to even apply. (UCSD’s BS/MD program requires a minimum of a 2250 or 34 on the ACTs). These programs are very competitive and your extracurriculars have to be stellar. Honestly, I’d just apply to a university normally, and work hard in college and apply to med school later.

You have an okay chance. To compensate for your relatively “low” SAT score, you should build up your medical experience - become a scribe, perhaps get some EMT training, shadow some doctors of interests at local hospitals in your community, travel through programs such as GapMedics, volunteer at your local hospital…there are many things out there that you can do. It may be a little late though.

Getting into medical school straight from undergraduate is very difficult, but you can go that route as well.
