Severe weather cancelled my test

So earlier today I took the AP Physics B exam. I was mostly done with free response when the sirens for severe weather went off. The proctors had us all go to a room (there were only 11 of us) and we had to wait there until we got the "all clear" to leave. There was 38:15 still on the clock to go. The proctors called AP and they said that we would have to take the free response portion again on the makeup day. I am very frustrated by this situation because I was so close to finishing. I am confused how we are going to take only half of the late exam. How are they going to curve our tests when the exam is from two different curves? Has this kind of thing happened to anyone else? Should I expect a similar test on the makeup day? Is there any chance that I can just finish the test that I started?

Are you in Michigan?
I am afraid having a complete retake on makeup day is the only fair way as there may be potential communication among candidates. Also, some students may be hard to focus again after the incident.

You will be retaking the whole test most likely.

I honestly feel really bad for you. Hope you do just as well on this makeup test.

This happened at my school for APUSH last year, except it was even worse because it was a scheduled fire drill. I was signed up to the makeup exam already, so I wasn’t affected, but the other students had to take the entire free response section again. They had to come to school around 10:00 so that they could start the free response at the same time as the students actually taking the makeup exam. Everyone said the makeup free response questions were harder, but I guess it worked out because most people still got 5’s. Good luck on your retake!
