The law still applies, but they would have a difficult time getting the jury to convict, so it’s rarely prosecuted. Same goes for statutory rape.

are you guys serious??? “SAC”??? That’s the stupidest thing i’ve EVER heard of!!!
It’s a normal thing, ppl do it. At my school its like breathing; we’ve ALL done it and nothing bad has come about from it, i guess. And if its from one minor to another, should this really be a big problem??? And if so, should we prosecute teenagers who sex with each other??? And shouldnt we be more concerned with the girls giving bl** jo*s in bathroom by the cafeteria where EVERYONE sees them and just watches!!! or in the drama room?? or behind the track field?? or in their cars during school hours??? or WITH TEACHERSSS??? I think sexting is the LEAST of our problems… mines at least…

ok so if it is such a big deal then maybe parents who are sooo worried should just get their kids a phone without a camera, that way they won’t have to worry. then the kids who’s parents don’t care can just do what they want, seriously its not that hard and sexting is seriously not that bad, if it is then all of the guys who read porno should be named sex offenders… point made?

Odd. Watching Law and Order SVU and it deals with sexting.

amusing juxtaposition.

I can’t say that people give others blow jobs in plain view at my school.

…meaning they do, Heavn?

Is that a serious question?

At least I wish they did. It would be funny. ^

are you serious? i think starting a SAC, yes sac, is extremely unnecessary.

Our principal just gave every student a “Don’t sext” letter and sent separate copies to all of our parents. It’s so stupid.

-SAC? wow that the stupidest thing I have ever heard.
-uh. ya i have recieved pics but i dont show them around.

a friend of mine had a girl send pics to him and then he forwarded them to his email - now she thinks there gone and he still has them (akward)

same chick sent nudes to all the guys on her bros waterpolo team (akward)

lol er this topic of “sexting” is quite amusing.
people need to wake the heck up and explore every middle and highs school out there.
drugs,sex,blow jobs it’s nothing new.
sexting has been going on forever and it won’t stop with some stupid letter to the parents.

and boys and girls don’t be naive in thinking you “know” the person SO well that they won’t send them to people. bullsh**. wake up.

Sexting wasn’t popular before the invention of the cellular telephone.

That’s so ridiculous. They might as well send out “don’t give blowjobs” or “don’t engage in any sexual activity whatsoever” letters, while they’re at it.

They do. It’s called Sex-ed class.

Really, if sexting is the worst things the kids are doing, then the parents should consider themselves lucky. Kids could be doing hard drugs (which aren’t that hard to find) or getting pregnant. A letter to parents from a principal will literally do nothing to stop anything the kids do. How many letters have school administrators sent out that warned kids against the dangers of drinking and driving, and how many kids do it anyway?

If they wanted to stop this, they would have to take away cell phones from all kids or confiscate them and search through them constantly. Both of these methods are unreasonable and impossible, so there’s not really much the school can do.

thiscouldbeheavn: “sexting” back before texting was popular was mostly referred to people using webcams and what not.
