Yes, he will be in court tomorrow. My daughter who goes to Cornell said he turned himself in rather quickly, as he was ID’d. He’s from a wealthy NY family, so he’ll be out on bond most likely, which is no surprise, I’m sure. This is getting lots of media attention, as the story was on GMA yesterday. Frat is now suspended and Cornell president had harsh words. Hoping this young woman will not be victim shamed in this case…
This has been all over the local news broadcasts for the last few days in NYC.
Considering the long series of problematic incidents and criminal actions* involving pan-hellenic organizations and its members, this incident certainly won’t help massive boosterism/PR efforts by them and their fellow-travelers.
- Vandalism of hotel resorts.
It doesn’t help that he’s the fraternity president.
Having said that…lets remember that he’s innocent until proven guilty.
