SF State or SDSU

Hello, I normally stay away from message boards due to all the spam and crap but I figured it wouldn't hurt to see if anyone here could help me with my decision.

Im an honors student from Sacramento, CA who recently was accepted to SDSU and SF State for Marketing. I only applied to these two schools because I wasn't too worried with the prestige factor and I'm banking more on the experience side of things in order to secure a job. I have some solid internship experience and I have basically been focused on a future at SF State for the opportunities there in the city, during the summers and possible during school. Also I would pursue their supposedly decent art program. The extent of SF State's bad rep has worried me, however but I have decided to go to graduate school, hopefully at Emerson College for marketing which would fill in the prestige gap. (What still worries me more than the prestige issue is the other students)
I'm still not positive in my decision tho as SDSU's education would help with entry to Emerson probably. I don't like the idea of going to college in socal as my older brother went that path and I'm already kind of sick of it. I also don't really like the campus, but that isn't what's really important.
Also, if i decide the opportunities presented by SF aren't good enough then Sacramento State is always a possibility which would save me some time and money. Speaking of time I hear the graduation rates at SDSU are bad.

What do you think?

You probably won't get to graduate in four years because if your major is impacted (even if it isn't) it is very hard to get all your core classes in four years just because of such a large student body.

I think you will find more people with academic focus at SF than at SDSU.

thanks. i assumed the opposite about the academic focus being at SF since its average GPA is apparently much much lower.

ill hope to get lucky with the class issue, but i wont be too surprised if i cant graduate in four years especially if i decide to add art and whatnot to my curriculum.

i've heard sfsu is much more of a commuter school than san diego if that's a factor

SDSU has more of the traditional college feel, like samies said.

To me, that would be an important factor.

Actually it IS important. If you don't like the area and you don't like the campus, you're not going to enjoy the time you spend there. If you're unhappy without even taking classes, you're not going to be motivated to do your best and are going to be counting the years and months until you get out of there.

I'd say the decision comes thru in your post; go to SF State.
