I'm applying EA and would like some help on this asap, please!

For the SFS essay, would it be all right to discuss an issue of international importance, bring it down to regional importance, and then discuss it on a local scale? Or should I just stick to international?

For example if I were to discuss illegal immigration (not my topic), talk about it on an international level, talk about it on a national level, then discuss its impacts on say my home state of Arizona (not actually my home state) would that be okay?

I don’t think you’ll get rejected for doing something like this, but assuming the prompt asks for a global issue (as it did last year) I’d try to stick to taking a less distinctly American stance on whatever issue you pick. good luck, mon amie~ :)

That will be fine. If you write well, show that you are thoughtful and passionate - it won’t matter what your topic is.

SFS knows that there is a local element to every “global” issue. They will like your essay. Go for it!
