I was completing the GTown application and I noticed that the options for "Pre-Med" are only available under the College and NHS. I'm interested in being an SFS student and completing the reqs for medical school while I'm at it...how do I go about applying like this?

the reason you it only has those options is because the requirements are insane enough for the SFS, and if you do SFS and pre-med, you might as well be prepared to have no social life or time to sleep…that being said, it’s been done many times before

It’s quite common actually, and it’s really not that hard (or so I’ve heard). I don’t really know about the application, but I can tell what will happen once you arrive. In order to do premed, you will major in Science Technology and International Affairs (STIA) once you arrive (it’s possible but exceedingly rare to do other majors, unless you have some enormous stash of AP/IB credits). With the STIA major, you are actually able to count some of your science courses towards the major. There are also very interesting courses that help integrate your knowledge of science into international relations. For more information, have a look at this [GU: SFS: BSFS - Majors: STIA - Pre-medicine programs](http://www3.georgetown.edu/sfs/bsfs/majors/stia/premed.html)

Select Georgetown College

Check off the pre-medical/pre-dental box

Switch your selection over to SFS

That’s it. You’ll notice that if you go back and forth, the Pre-Med/Pre-Dent box stays checked.

and the AdCom will definitely get the message on that, and not think it’s some attempt at cross-admit?

If you have any doubts, just ask them directly.
