<p>Okay, I have a choice between San Francisco State and University of the Pacific.
I do not know which one to choose however and I'm planning to go for a Computer Science or Engineering Major. </p>
<p>I want to see if anyone knows how these two schools are ranked in the Computer Science/Engineering field please.</p>
<p>Also, I would like to know what SFSU's campus is like if anyone has visited it please give me your opinion.</p>

<p>I’m a SFSU alum. It’s not good at all for engineering. I was researching it for my son. I think they graduate 10-15 engineering majors a year. SJSU would be your best bet in that range. They graduate a lot more. My son worked with SFSU students for mentors in a robotics competition thrown by UCB. The engineers were not helpful at all and very snide. While the other local school had a UCB mentor they loved and nominated for an award that he won.</p>
<p>I do know UOP is fantastic for engineering. They arrange internships I think. My brother in laws girlfriends brother (barely know). Went to UOP instead of UC Davis.</p>
<p>How about in Computer Science? (or you’re including that in the engineering category too?)</p>

<p>Sure you can message me about SFSU. I however went there about 9 years ago. Computer Information Systems was big but that was because it was associated with the Business school. SFSU has a very big business school. The engineering and science classes are all squeezed into one small two floor building. At any other college the engineering and science building are usually multiple buildings. My brother in law graduated with a master there recently though and my son went there for an EC the last 4 months.</p>
<p>SFSU does not currently have a “Computer Information Systems” major; it has:</p>

<li>Computer Science in the College of Science and Engineering</li>
<li>Information Systems in the College of Business</li>
</ul>

<p>The Computer Science Bachelor of Science degree program is ABET accredited at both SFSU and UOP.</p>
