Shakespeare

-> Genius is not answer -> was extreme choice and not mentioned
-> Industry is not answer -> First passage is not about the effect of Shakespeare on the book industry instead it focuses on the awe behind Shakespeare, same with the second passage. The 1st passage is not concerned with the industry of books, but with the knowledge we have of Shakespeare.
-> Little is known about Shakespeare's life is answer -> 1st passage says it explicitly, second passage says it in the last 2 sentences

[my opinion]

yes I did the same..hopefully is the right one

I hope, 'cuse that's what I put!

Didn't both passages mention his genius though? there was one sentence in each where it described him as being genius-like...i'm pretty sure. and humor was an answer?

Are you referring to the question that asked about the last sentence?
It was a joke about how little is known bout him.

And both passages did mention he was a genius.

Seriously, this question is going to get beaten to death. College board had better give us a nice curve for this question!

lol? its easy.
why should they give a curve for it? Give us a curve on the damn passages.

If there's anything i've learned from studying for sat's its that you have to take the answer choice very literally and be able to eliminate the wrong ones instead of choosing a plausible one. The genius choice was like "genius of highest degree" or something to that extent. Correct me if I'm wrong.

That's what I got ...

i agree with rb. i cant wait til Q&A

I thought it was remark on how people aren't actually that famililar with shakespeare...cause the last sentence serves as "oh he actually wrote plays too" as ironic no?

We are talking about the question that asks what is in common w/ 1 and 2

what do otehrs think?

ohh okay. well what was the asnwer for that one whether it was humorous or a remark that pepole aren't that familiar with his work

i honestly dont remeber fashion's q..

cc3c, I've seen you around since an hour after I took the SAT. Calm down...

I CANT!! i need to know, now! i need to get to the bottom of the shakespeare one especially.

Is this your first time?

no. but i cant let go of unsolved enigmas

can we come to a consensus now? whose for little known about shakespeare??
