assuming you went to a community college for 2 years and then transferred to a UC...

after you graduate, what will you say to people who ask "where did you go to college?" do you say both schools, or just the UC?

assuming you went to a community college for 2 years and then transferred to a UC...

after you graduate, what will you say to people who ask "where did you go to college?" do you say both schools, or just the UC?

Other than employers, it's just the institution where you received your undergraduate degree.

The truth.

Messed up in high school, got my act together in CC, transfered to a UC and graduated with a degree in Physiology (hopefully).

It will depend on the situation. Generally, the simple answer will suffice because your upper division coursework is much more important than your lower division stuff. If the person is specifically interested in, like, the process of my education then I'd give them both. As mentioned above, there are certain professional circumstances as well where it's possible that you're being asked for the whole story.

I would name both schools because I am really glad I attended a CC.

I agree. I am proud to have attended a community college. I will say that I attended a private art school and earned an AA in photography and then attended a communtity college to earn another AA and then completed my BA at another school. I would never leave out that gap in my education.

I dunno...I see community college as sort of 'doing time' for my high school [academic] crimes. Graduation day is still more than two years away, so who knows what I'll be thinking then

Here's a question I thought of...

After graduating and comparing debt with your peers, will you proudly mention your time at CC? :D

Edward04: good point! :-)

I'm very happy that I attended a CC, and always proudly state that I'm attending it now. I can't imagine that I will discredit my CC years after earning my BA.

no they won't ask u if your from CC...
they ask you where did you graduated from..

At my CC, I once overhead a rather pretentious girl laughing and explaining to her friends how several years down the road she would tell people that she went straight to a 4-year University.

It's pretty naive and insecure to be ashamed of going to CC.

I'm planning on going the traditional college route, but I don't see anything wrong with going to a CC. I would say both.

will usually someone won't ask where did you go for colelge, but it's more like where did you graduated so most likely the institution in which you receive ur degree

Yeah, I would just go for the short answer and give them the school where I got my degree. Obviously if they want a little more info or if it's a potential employer then yeah, I'll gladly say I went to a CC.

School where I got my degree. I agree, only employers I would mention about the CCC. All my current friends know I go to a CCC. Why ramble on if it's not necessary.
