Shapiro Hall Lofted Triple

I was placed in a lofted triple in Shapiro Hall as part of the Massell Quad. With this, I understand, comes a few interesting space issues. I’m wondering how to best maximize space between myself and my two other roommates.

First, how much space does one have in a dresser? How many drawers/how much can I fit? I’m curious about closet space as well…is there room for a suitcase or duffel bag?

For those of you with freshmen dorm experience, what quantity of clothing did you pack? I’m not sure how much to bring given the tightness of the room. Similarly, I’m curious as to how more space can be created in the room. Doubles can push the beds up for under-the-bed storage, but lofted triples aren’t granted that luxury.

Any input is appreciated. Thank you!

My friend was in a lofted triple freshman year. While space was tight in terms of having friends over(a lounge or something is easier) she had room for all of her things. I know she talked to both of her roommates beforehand to make sure they did not bring extra of anything. A suitcase would probably be fine. With college dorms in general I think that less is more. I know a few people who brought too much that decided to take things home with them over break.

Best of luck!
