Hey guys! I'm a junior this year, studying for AP Biology. I'm the kind of learner who is really visual, but I also can recall information very easily through memorization tricks, like acronyms and patterns. Surely I'm not the only AP Biology student like this, so I thought it would be helpful for all of us to have a share thread for these kinds of tricks and tips!

I have a helpful one for the macromolecules' elemental components.

Carbohydrates - CHO
Lipids - CHO
Proteins - CHON
Nucleic Acids - CHONP

It just builds on with letters! Simple stuff like that, though I generally use acronyms to help me study as well. Share what tricks and tips you use!!

Awesome idea. For the stages of mitosis, I just remember P.P. MATS (Prophase, prometaphase, metaphase, anaphase, telophase).
It also really helps to learn the Latin root words for prefixes and suffixes, it really helps in remembering meaning.

It was! Though my favorite was Pillows vs. Blankets (the historical documentary parody). Brought back some fond (and some not-so-fond) memories of doing a documentary for History Day last year.
