My room mate and I have 2 of the same classes.. eng1a and cs8

I was thinking we should just share books.. would that be a problem? Or would it be significantly better to have our own? o-o

its doable and save alot of $$$. sadly me and my roomate dont have the same classes He has BSWT and I have Eng 004 and such , so thats kind a wack. Thats a pretty smart idea though

how do you guys already know who your roomates are?

They probably requested a friend as a roommate

yep thats what i did

Sharing CS8 books shouldn’t be a problem. Everyone (who has Gustafson, anyway) uses the same textbook and lab manual. So, they should be easy to buy for cheaper off of former students; buying it new at the campus book store is $135 and I bought mine (excellent condition) off a former student for about $70. If you have the same lab section, even better. Studying might be a problem – he’ll tell you exactly what pages to read for the midterm. But I guess if you work it out…

However, ENGL1A could vary a lot as there is no professor who teaches the entire range (or even a large amount of it) of the same ENGL level classes because there are just way too many. It depends on the TA who will be teaching it. Typically – not always – ENGL1A/B us the St. Martin’s Guide to Writing and ENGL1C uses Signs of Life. In addition, you’ll have to read novels for the class those are probably up to your TA.
