Shipping Dorm stuff and moving in...

<p>When is the earliest that boxes can arrive for moving into the dorms? (out of state student) Arrival will be for FASET 6, August 18. And where do you send them? How does this work?</p>

<p>AND if anyone knows how and where to store those items over the summer, that would be extremely helpful...taxi cab? to off site storage? address for storage place? Thanks.</p>

<p>Your best bet is to not bring too much. Dorms are fully furnished.</p>

<p>But if you must ship, you actually can’t ship to dorms. You’ll receive a PO Box at the GT Post Office, and items are shipped to your PO Box. When a package comes, you’ll get an email to go pick it up from the Post Office.</p>

Guidelines for Package Pick-Up:</p>

<p>The Georgia Tech Post Office offers package delivery by the United States Postal Service,. United Parcel Service, Federal Express, Airborne, and DHL. There is no package delivery to the dormitories.</p>

<p>An e-mail message is the official notification that a student has a package. After receiving the e-mail notification, the student must come to the package pick-up window and present their student ID or another form of valid picture ID. Make sure you know your GT PO box number.</p>

<p>If you are expecting a package and have not received an email notification, come to the package pick-up window and we will check our incoming parcels. If a package is not picked up within seven days of the first notice, a second email notification will be sent out. Your package will be returned to sender if it is not claimed within seven days of the second notice.</p>

<p>But keep in mind that any package you get will have to be carried back to your dorm, which includes some steps. So I wouldn’t ship a mini fridge or a 50 lbs package.</p>
