shipping stuff to dorms

Suppose I want to buy a minifridge for my S via Amazon Prime and have is shipped directly to his North Campus dorm.

1) when it gets shipped to his dorm address, would it actually be delivered to his room, or does it go to a mail processing center where he'd have to pick it up?

2) Can we ship stuff to arrive before move-in day, and if so how early?

Thanks!

If you sent it to the big red shipping address, it would be delivered to the room. I am not sure how this works, but check big red shipping website. Otherwise, it would be available to be picked up either at RPCC or Appel.

From what I remember it’s 3 to 5 days. Call the housing to ask.

pre-arrival shipping

<a href=“Login | BRSS”>Login | BRSS;

(there is a charge for this service)

ouch, that’s expensive! Seems like maybe purchasing one for in-store pickup at a local store would work out better (cheaper anyhow). Unless there are hand trucks or the like available that a student can borrow to help him move a large package from Appel/RPCC to his dorm room.

There would be (very!) limited carts available at both locations as well as at the dorms. The problem is that some dorms don’t have elevator. So, if the packages are heavy/big, he might have a problem moving them to whichever floor he is living in.
