Short Answers--Debate

Yeah...this is a little late...but...
Is anyone else having trouble writing the short answer question about bringing together two people in history to debate an "issue of our time"? I'm having trouble not making it sound ridiculously anti-Bush.

Well, I'd worry more about the ridiculously part than the Bush part. If your writing is good and you're bringing new insight to the situation, I don't think it is a problem to show strong opinions.

You could try picking a different issue. It doesn't have to be really controversial like Iraq.

But I agree with nan, there's nothing wrong with showing your political beliefs as long as it's well-written and makes sense.

Something like "I would bring together Gandhi and Martin Luther King Jr. to discuss whether George Bush should be impeached" would be bad.

Well, I would suggest not show political beliefs. Some college counselor's might be offended or at the least disagree with your opinion and that might cast a bad light on the rest of your application.

(btw.. I am anti-bush too..)
