Hey Guys,

My short essay length is approximately 509 words. Is this too much? I gave it to a couple of my teachers and they said its very attention grabbing but I am afraid I would have to sacrifice that for a shorter length (maybe about 200-300 words). Should I completely break apart my essay to make it shorter or what?

Any feedback or help is appreciated

500 is a bit much, can you cut it down to 300? If not, it’s not a huge deal - from what I’ve heard, it’s not really read in that much depth regardless…

I’m actually in the same situation (501 words). Mine’s also attention grabbing, but I might still reduce it to about 450 or so.

I talked to the undergraduate admissions office today. They said that you should fully answer the question, without making it three pages long.

Sounds like they don’t care too much for the length.
