Essay Length

My Georgetown essay lengths are:
Short Essay: 291 words
Personal Essay: 1,024 words (just over a page and a half, Georgetown recommends a page)
School-specific Essay: 977 words (a page and a half, 7 semi-short paragraphs)

Should I be worried? They are both dense and have been cut down from about 1300 words.
I have consulted with English teachers and others and most say that as long as they don't get boring and stay on topic, it's fine. Any input?

oh and how short is the short essay meant to be?

Talked to the admissions office, and they said the first one can be whatever length, as long as it doesn’t turn into some huge, three page paper.

So I would imagine they are equally as laid-back about the other two lengths. Just make sure they remain interesting.

thanks, that was helpful.

CameronSeib, thank you so much for that. My personal essay is about two pages (it reads quickly though) and I was really worried that they might take me for some inconsiderate kid who can’t follow directions.
