<p>My wife just returned from the West Point Parents Club meeting that is held each year at West Point. The Superintendent told the group that he was looking to shorten the academic year in order to give the Cadets more time off.</p>
<p>I KID YOU NOT.</p>
<p>Whoa...that would get the "corps has"-ers fired up for sure!</p>
<p>When would this take place... Is it 100% or still in question</p>

<p>Actually, this isn't that bad of an idea. I had a little over a week off each summer, after the three glorious weeks off at the end of Plebe Year. That's how I defend getting 60 off after graduation to all the ROTC kids :)</p>
<p>Remember, this just means that you're going to have to squeeze all 40 lessons into less time...muah ha ha ha ha!!!</p>
<p>I understand that this is just implementing what other service academies have already done.</p>
<p>So how long of a summer will we get now...</p>
