A student is waitlisted from several top schools but may be difficulty to make a decision if no financial aid. If a school calls the student, will it tell the financial aid? If no, should the student ask about or leave it late? Can you share if you have such experience? Thank you.
One of my kids was accepted off the waitlist at a highly ranked LAC. When they called, my kid (at my prompting) asked about the financial aid offer and was told that we would receive it in a couple of days. My kid explained that he would make a decision after we had reviewed the financial aid package, and that’s what we did. Everything went fine.
The kid should not commit to attending until a financial aid package is received. Agree…the kid should ask when that will be coming. The kid should also check the student portal for this info…and their spam folder.
