I am not familiar with the SAT subject tests. Should my son consider taking them if he is applying to Texas A&M, Baylor or Stanford? He did well on the ACT and has take these AP tests (world history, American history, chemistry, statistics, physics) and will be taking these AP tests next year (calculus bc, physics b, and computer science).
How many times is he planning on taking the AP Physics exam? FYI AP Physics B was discontinued in 2014.
Back to your question, Stanford recommends SAT Subject Tests for admissions, so yes, he should consider taking them. Neither TAMU nor Baylor requires them for admissions, but does give credit for some of them
Here is a list of the schools that require or recommend SAT subject tests. I would double check on the websites of the colleges because policies change. http://www.■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■/subject-test-requirements-and-recommendations/
I think I misspoke when I said Physics B. he took a Physics this year and is taking one next year but I do not know which one. He got a 4 on statistics but only got a 3 on World History and has not gotten the other scores back yet for this year. Thanks for the responses!
