Should apply to Kelley School of Bus. or to University Division at Indiana University?

Hello everyone,

I’m a senior in high school and plan to apply to IU. I’m specifically interested in majoring in Business and I’m confused if I should indicate business as my major or not. I have a CR+Math score of 1320. However, I do not have a good GPA (about 3.4) I know I will not be a Kelley DA because of this. I do not want to ruin my chances of getting in University Division and was therefore thinking of applying UD. I can get excellent recommendations from my HS faculty but IU does not take into account extracurriculars or recommendations.

Also, my brother went to IU. Any idea if they give preference if you have family who went there?

Any thoughts on how I should go about this? Appreciate any input.

Im pretty sure you apply to the business program regardless of your stats, and then if you have the matching stats for Kelley DA, they put you in Kelley as a freshman, and if you dont have the stats, they automatically put you in pre-business studies, and it wont affect your chances of admission, period.

Yes, do what JohnBran said. Unless you do something stupid to get in trouble or lie on your application or something, you will easily get into IU
