Should/how do I send a supplementary recommendation letter?

I worked at a retirement home for 5 years and developed a good relationship with the manager there. I was wondering if I could have her write an additional recommendation letter for me along with the standard 2 teachers + 1 counselor. Would this be a good idea? I'm already addressing my time there in the supplement essay section for ECs. Also, I'm applying to the college of engineering, so it's not relevant academically, but it would show that I have good character.

So how would I attach the letter? I don't see it on Common Apps. Thank you.

My son had a similar situation for ED last year. He gave the person a stamped envelope with the admissions address already typed on it. He had that extra person send the recommendation in himself. There was no form - just a letter. My son only did one of these in addition to what was required on the application. I wouldn’t overdo…

In Cornell’s instructions they state that your name & date of birth should be on each page of a letter of rec. sent by mail.

Does the teacher also need to put the student’s Common App ID number and Current School?

Doesn’t say that on their instructions page but it wouldn’t hurt.
