Should I appeal my Haas rejection?

Hello, I was rejected from Haas this semester and I was wondering if anybody could give me some advice on whether to appeal the decision or not. Here are my relevant stats:

Math 1A: B-
Math 16B: A (doesn't officially count for Haas admissions, not in my application)

UGBA 10: A
Econ 1: A
Stat 21: Taking this semester

Overall GPA: 3.7

Resume: Good
Essays: Probably average

I was really hoping that the admissions committee would look at my transcript and see that I got an A in 16B, meaning I can do the math required for business. I don't know if the admissions committee even noticed this, and that would be the basis of my appeal. My main dilemma is that the deadline to drop courses is this Friday and I'm currently taking my Haas literature course. I would really rather not take the course if I don't have to, but if I appeal, I'll have to keep the course in case I do get in. My question is basically, what are my chances of successfully appealing? Thank you for your help.

Note: I don't mean to come off as someone who MUST get into Haas, but it's a lot easier to take the business classes I'm interested in if I'm in the major.

A B- in Math 1A means rejection from Haas? Considering you aced the other prereqs, that can’t be the deciding factor.

It may very well be the deciding factor. His prereq gpa is only 3.53, which probably places him in the lower quartile of the admitted pool. Also, the lack of stat grade does not help.

Appeal it. You have nothing to lose. If you don’t, then you might regret it later on and be butthurt.

Keep the Haas literature class, it can’t be that demanding.

That sucks.
Appealing doesn’t hurt. Which lit class are you taking? Maybe you have time to pass that stuff instead.
