Should I apply? (already too many Ivies on my list!?)

Cornell & Yale are both tops for architecture, but you're talking apples and organges. Cornell has a professional 5-yr Barch degree. It is highly selective, requires entry to the program as a freshman with a portfolio and interview. Yale has a 4-yr BA in architecture, you will need a graduate degree to practice. Yale's reputation for architecture is primarily at the graduate level. Also note that the BA at Yale has 3 different tracks that you apply for at the end of sophomore year, and there's no guarantee that you will get into the track that you want.

Definitely apply.

I've never heard of the trading thing. Plus Yale's campus is goregous.

Cornell is a great architecture school, but a notch below Yale in most respects.
