I am thinking of applying to EA to NEU as it is one of my top choices. However I had a terrible sophomore year and would like to show my improvement all the way up to senior year. Would it be wise to apply EA and hope for deferred status (if not rejected of course), or is it riskier and get rejected? Perhaps I am mumbling too much.

I would apply EA, if I were in your situation. It shows that you want to be there. But since I don’t know specifics I would suggest consulting your guidance counselor.

Well some additional information, my sophomore year was mostly filled with B’s. Otherwise I got only 1 B freshmen year and it seems like I will be getting 1 B in my junior year. I have had a massive improvement in my work ethic. It truly is one of my top choices, but it is a hard decision on whether I should. It looks like my gpa will be a high 3.6 before senior year. I definitely will have a long conversation with my GC, but I would like some opinions from CC members.

thanks for your input Jazmine.
