<p>Actually, if an ED or SCEA does not meet your need, you can back out because of it. That is acceptable. So, it negates having to go, if cost is a consideration.</p>
<p>My advice is to apply ED (or SCEA), if the school is your first choice. RD or non-binding EA elsewhere.</p>
