Hi so I'm a senior in hs from mass., I am ready to apply to JHU early decision. However, I was looking at stats from my school for students admitted in the past few years and noticed that I fall between the averages for ED and RD. Would it hurt my chances of getting in applying ED if I am much closer to the RD averages? Also, would I probably be accepted, deferred, or rejected?
Lastly, If I send October test scores blind will they only consider them if they are better than previous ones?
Some stats:
GPA: 3.8/4.3
SAT: 1400/1420 combined (1600)
2090/2150 combined (1600)
subject tests: bio 750, history 710
4 substantial leadership positions, 3 more minor
part time job
3 ap classes junior year(avg score of a 4)
5 ap classes senior year, all A's for first term
ample volunteer work
2 seasons of sports

School Type: Public
Location: MA
Race/Gender: Caucasian, F
Prospective Major: Bio
Class rank: 15 of 230

subject tests not sending: math 2 and chem

At most competitive schools, the acceptance rates are much higher for early decision compared to regular decision. If you’re positive that JHU is the school for you, I would recommend applying ED. Make sure you have good essays and recommendations and you should have a good shot

Thank you! Essays and letters are two things I think will be strong for me.
