Should I apply ED or RD to NYU??? Please Help!!!

I am a Senior, so obviously the Early Decision deadline is approaching quickly, but I am very conflicted. Basically, I really love NYU and I think it is the school I would probably choose anyways out of the RD pool (assuming I got accepted), but I am worried about getting in RD (their acceptance rate went down to 27%). That being said, I also have a lot of reservations about ED and I would prefer not to apply ED for many reasons, but I want to be safe and know I’ll get in somewhere. Please let me know based off of my information whether you think I could get in RD!!

Also, some other schools I would be applying to are Tufts, GW, Georgetown, BU, etc. But you only need to tell me what you think about NYU ED vs. RD!!

Thank you so much for reading this if you got this far! Please let me know your honest opinions on if I could get in RD!

Also I understand that ED is the best way to go if I am absolutely set on a school, but I would really like input on RD chances! Thank you!!!

My friend, a white male, got in NYU CAS with a 3.61 and 33 ACT this year with less impressive ECs. I can definitely see you getting in RD. Assuming you aren’t going for Stern, I’d say match ED (70-80%) and high match RD (50-70% chance). Tufts and Georgetown will be reaches, BU would be high match and GW would be match.

ED sounds good if you are totally certain, but you seem like a strong applicant for RD too.

I got a 1290 on my SAT, I have a 3.99 GPA, have taken 9 AP classes, and have good ECs and Essays. What would you say my chances would be like for ED?

I can’t suggest either way but my daughter was accepted into CAS RD.
