Should I apply to a backup school?

I am pretty set on going to the University of Washington and only applied there. My stats are both above the 75 percentile for UW (3.98 GPA Unweighted and 32 ACT). I’ve had friends that got in with a 3.4 and a 25 on their ACT or with 1700 sat’s. I also worked very hard on the essays. A lot of my friends I talked to said there’s no way I could get denied. I honestly don’t see a reason why they would deny me, my course requirements are above the average, my essays are really good (reviewed by multiple teachers), I have a hard curriculum (all college courses). Even my counselor was like, “you’ll get in”.

Most likely admitted but if by chance you are not your safety will be your local community college by default.

My DS was WL’ed by 2 schools where he was well above the 75th percentile.

Do you need FA? What if the school doesn’t give u an attractive FA package?

Always apply to a back up school, although I’m sure you’ll get in. You always want a back up when applying to college

Apply to a backup school. Just in case.

@GMTplus7 UW is my instate school. There would be no need for financial aid. I guess I’ll just apply to Western Washington University.
