Should I apply to Penn?

Okay, so, a number of my friends like Penn for a number of reasons, but I haven't found anything about the school that I really, really like. I don't intend to bash Penn in any way (this really, really isn't one of those "ur kollij sux, y do u liek it????" troll threads), I just want some of you who love the school to tell me why you think it's so great, in an honest, unsarcastic way. This will help me ultimately decide if I'll apply, because I'm on the fence at this point.

Some background academic information: I'm very interested in international relations, and I want to major in something along those lines in college. I'm also considering doing a double major in a science, probably chemistry.

~BUT LYKE, OMG YAIL IZ SOoOoO MUCH BETTA!!!1!!1!!!~

^haha. If you’re looking into those majors, there are some good programs that might be a better fit. I’m not sure if Penn has the best IR & Chemistry programs. I’m pretty sure its IR program is fairly good though, but how are your stats and that kind of thing? Are you looking more for Ivy Leagues, top colleges, or public universities?

No, this isn’t a chances thread. I’m not interested in whether or not I’ll get in if I do choose to apply, I’m interested in whether or not I should apply. I want to find information on what Penn has to offer, because I can’t find much solid info on its site.

Okay, sorry this is a serious thread. We’re friends, and I was being annoying on purpose, but my post shouldn’t dissuade people who have legitimate advice from posting. :)

Have you visited? If you have researched the school and you can’t find anything you really, really like, you probably shouldn’t apply. You should apply only to schools you feel fairly confident that you would be happy at socially and academically. If you’ve been to Penn or researched the school and you don’t feel this is the case, don’t waste your time/money/effort applying.
