is Princeton a very "techie" school like MIT?
i want to go for the financial engineering program, but I'm afraid that I'm not the science/math nerd type .

here are my stats:
GPA:3.95
rank:15ish/100
SATI: 700w, 760cr, 750m total:2210
SATIIs:800 chinese, 720 math, 710 chemistry
HS classes: I took all of the science/math classes offered at my school, including 2 AP classes and got 4 & 5 on the exams. My only B's in high school are in physics and biology, so i'm worried that the grades might drag me down. I also take classes at a local engineering college (calculus, business law, organic chemistry, business statistics)
Extracurriculars: I have a ton of them. I founded 3 clubs in our school and was President of all three and officers in many others. I published about 10 articles on national newspapers and magazines. I have been a human rights volunteer since 5th grade. I got a national volunteer award just recently. I also have a bunch local outstanding teen awards. EC's are my strength

so here is my college list. please tell me if they are safety, match, or reach
Princeton(top choice)
Columbia
UPenn (Wharton)
Stanford
UChicago
Northwestern
Cornell
Yale
UMich
UWisc-Madison

your scores are average at best, your GPA/rank is ok but not great, and your EC's are pretty good (I'd say above average, but not jaw-dropping amazing)

Princeton - high reach
Columbia - reach
UPenn (Wharton) - high reach
Stanford - high reach
UChicago - low reach
Northwestern - match/low reach
Cornell - low reach
Yale - high reach
UMich - match
UWisc-Madison - match

UChicago doesn't have any finance or engineering programs... econ, yes, but it's an extremely academic treatment of the subject, perhaps the opposite of what you might find at a school like Wharton.
