Should I Apply With a Low Math SAT?

I love Cornell, and I'm planning to apply RD. My GPA is good (3.90) top 10% of class, extracurriculars are good, etc.

But when it comes to SAT scores, I have a problem in that Cornell doesn't look at SAT writing scores at all. This is a bummer, since my writing score is my highest:

Critical Reading: 720
Math: 600
Writing: 750

So as you can see, my CR+M score is a measly 1320. Cornell's 25th percentile for math is 670, and I have a 600 math... My SAT reading score is fine.... but my math is so low....

Do you guys think I even have a smidgeon of a chance? I'm planning to major in Government in CAS, which isn't math heavy.

Well I think Cornell will not consider your Writing score. Your math score is fine but you know not very good for Cornell. Write some amazing essays and supplement and you still have a good shot :D

Although the math score is a little low, your other scores are in the range. Since you are planning on majoring in Government you may be okay. Although the writing score isn’t counted, it will show that you are a good writer which will help with your major.

You need to put you all into your supplemental essay.

You can always retake the SAT in January if you want. By now there’s probably a hefty late registration fee, though
