This is my first post on CC! My friends told me to sign up and to try to use it.

I will be applying to Cornell regular and my SAT I is kind of low...

SAT I: 2010 (610CR 750M 650W)
SAT II: Chem 800 Phys 800 MathIIC 800

GPA: 3.7UW

Do you think I still have some chance being that my SAT I is low for Cornell?

Do colleges see SATII as the same weighting or lower/higher than the SATI?

Thank you!

Which school are you applying to? You obviously are very strong in math, so if you apply to the college of engineering, they won’t care so much about your CR score (they don’t look at writing). A&S will care more. Your best bet is CoE, but it also depends on your course load and GPA.

Is it hard one? Can you estimate the curve. Math -1, writing -1 essay 12, cr -4.
Gpa 3.6. Chance for Ivy league school?

Thank you AlphaOrionis! I’m thinking of applying to the College of Agricultural and Life Sciences and study business within that school.

I’m taking the most difficult classes possible with the maximum amount of AP classes, and I started in the highest math level freshman year (only ten or so students get placed in it).

If you have the opportunity, try to get your CR score up (i know there’s only the december SAT left which is probably not going to work for you). Don’t get me wrong, thats a really good SAT score, and your SATIIs are unbelievable. You probably would have blown the ACT out of the water. Good luck! (oh if you did really well on an english AP exam, it wouldn’t hurt to have the college board send an AP score report to cornell. I now they say AP scores don’t count for admission, but I’ve heard from an admissions officer at CAS that 5s on AP exams certainly give an applicant a boost).

I was going to try to take the ACT, but for some reason I never did. Thank you for your help!

Enhree, thanks! :)
